South Shore

Updated: Mar 25, 2019

The south shore trip is our first trip of the week and we are going there on Wednesday. The itinerary says it will take us about 10 hours so I'm not really looking forward to being out and walking for that long!

On the tour we will stop at Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls. At Seljalandsfoss you can walk behind the waterfall, as long as you don't mind getting wet. Skógafoss is also really famous and was used in the films Thor: The Dark World and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.

We will also visit the black sand beaches such as Reynisfjara. There is snow topped volcanoes and rock formations but is known for being dangerous and you are told to not go too close to the ocean.
