Money

The expense of the krona.

Now one of the major downsides that I have heard to this country is how expensive it is!! So being the young student that I am, I'm not looking forward to working out how much money I need to take. The currency there is Icelandic Krona (not to be confused with Swedish Krona..) and seems very confusing to the simple pounds that we use here. Using a currency converter, £1 seems to amount to 155.76 ISK so working out how much everything would be at home is going to be a task. I've decided to take £150 worth which is roughly 23,000 ISK. Now some of my tutors have laughed out loud at this and said it definitely won't be enough, but I'm going to take some food with me as there is cooking facilities at the hotel and won't be out on the lash with how tired it looks like I'm going to be! With all the trips paid for already, I don't see the need to take any more so hopefully it's not £30 for a bottle of water haha.
